¡Vamos★Cuba! is a holiday which aims to show you the Real Cuba. Our goal is to give you an authentic and unforgettable Cuban experience.

Vamos Cuba believes that holidays can be so much more than simply sightseeing. We have made local connections and arrangements so that you can enjoy a unique Cuban holiday.

Vamos Cuba offers travellers to Havana an authentic taste of local life while brushing up their creative skills, with accommodation provided at personally inspected family homes (Casas Particulares). 

You will also have your very own Cuban amigo. (This is our name for the great people who work with us). One of our ‘Amigos’ can meet you at the airport, make sure that you know where your classes are and make you feel at home in Havana.

Veronika Tirpakova – The woman behind ¡Vamos★Cuba!

Vamos Cuba is run by Veronika Tirpakova. Originally from the Czech Republic. Veronika has always had a passion for Latino culture and has travelled extensively throughout Central America. From 2005, she worked in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, for a large multi national company. During this time she learned Spanish and participated in a number of Latin culture festivals. In 2010 Veronika met the world-renowned Danza Contemporanea de Cuba when the company performed at the Theatre Royal in Newcastle. After striking up close friendships with the dancers, she visited them several times in Havana. It was here, in the musical heart of the country, that the idea for Vamos Cuba was born. Veronika decided that everyone should have the chance to visit and experience the real Cuba, their amazing culture, meet and even live with its wonderful, vibrant people.

In 2011 Veronika left the corporate world and set up Vamos Cuba.  She now divides her time between Havana and the UK. Vamos Cuba gives travellers the opportunity to immerse themselves in this vibrant culture, get a taste of the real Cuba and be inspired by the Cuban way of life.  Clients can stay with local people in friendly, comfortable home stays.  They will also benefit from tuition provided by professionals of respected institutions such as Havana’s University and the National Schools of Arts.

Making a difference

Cuba is not a rich country and when you visit, you help boost the Cuban economy, which in turns helps the people.

However, if you would like to, there are other things that you can do as well.

Some airlines let you check in 2 bags at no extra cost (e.g. Air France) which would allow you to bring some donations that would be greatly appreciated. Veronika herself collected donations for a children's orphanage, with her friends in the UK donating toys and clothes for her to take.
