Workshop: Popular Cuban and Folkloric Percussion
Content: An approach to Cuban music through small-group conversations and different auditions analyzing from its beginning until present day. The presentation of different Cuban percussion instruments and their methods of use. The reproduction, by the students, of different Cuban rhythmic cells, establishing various slapping or tapping polyrhythms. Body percussion. Improvisation. The course is adjusted according to the needs of the music students, amateurs or professionals.
Workshop: Afro-Cuban Percussion
Content: Afro-Cuban music of the Yoruba, Bantú and Arará origin, with all its richness, shown through the demonstration of its different variants. The presentation or dissimilar Afro-Cuban percussion instruments and their methods of use. The reproduction of different typical rhythmic cell, various polyrhythms and improvisation. Workshop: Percussion of the Cuban ‘Son’
Content: The presence of the Cuban ‘Son’, its universal relevance and its most authentic expressions of all time, which can be understood in the present through the practice of ‘Son’ percussive instruments. It will look at Cuban music and all its richness, with auditions and presentations from the different eras and the variants of ‘Son’ like Changui and Sucusucu, from their origins until present day, their methods of use and rhythmic cells. All of this and more will be within your reach in this course.

Children’s Choral Repertoire of Cuban Traditional Songs
Content: Cuban song within reach of the children, with the educative and cultural possibilities that choral song offers, their most authentic expressions and their positive psychological influence can be seen through practice with the most prestigious teachers of choral song. A dynamic approach to this vast repertoire of songs with games, auditions, presentations of execution methods and essential characteristics are within the children’s reach with this course.
Workshop: Cuban Folkloric Song
Content: The wealth of songs of Yoruba and Bantú origin, as well as others that combine in Cuban Folklore, its wide ranges of themes, records and rhythms, are shown through auditions and presentations. A dynamic approach to Cuba’s vast repertoire allows the discovery of methods of use and essential characteristics, with prestigious teachers of Cuban folkloric song.
Duration: From 1 week to 1 month with minimum length of 2 hours of classes a day. It can also be mixed with any of ours other courses.
